Located on the southern edge of Lincoln, Nebraska, Buckshot Farms currently breeds,
shows and raises of a herd of some of the finest horses in the United States. The Sampson family has been involved in horses since the late 1980s, and since then has accumulated over 30 National Championships and 50 National Top Tens at the Arabian and Half Arabian National Championships. Currently the farm is primarily a breeding facility, typically producing 10-15 foals per year. Buckshot bred horses are known for their strong presence in the western arena, with numerous National titles in Western Pleasure and Reining. There have also been some winners in English Pleasure, such as BSF Electra, the U.S. National Champion in the Arabian English Pleasure Futurity.
Diversity is by design, as the Sampson family continues to be committed to breeding the finest quality of horses regardless of breed, use, or color. John and April Sampson enjoy the tranquil view of future champions from their patio and their daughter, Cori Vokoun, hand selects breeding stock and pairings to continue in the Buckshot tradition of champions. We invite you to visit our farm, meet horses, and perhaps find your next champion.
